From LBSU Reports

Long Beach State women’s water polo will start off the 2009 season this Saturday when they host their annual alumnae game at the Campus Pool at Noon.

The No. 15 49ers will host two games before heading to a pair of tournaments.  First the alumnae game this weekend, and then the regular season opener with UCLA on February 5th.

The 49ers lost top-goal scorer Dayna Wawrzynski to graduation, but bring back sophomore Lauren Sieprath and junior Branwyn Lee, who scored 45 and 36 goals respectively last season.  Also, goaltender Kristen Stragier, who finished 2008 with 287 saves.
