Grab your skulls and hop into the shell with a coxswain, we’re going rowing.

This weekend, the 44th consecutive Bill Lockyer Christmas Regatta will be held at Marine Stadium in Long Beach. The Long Beach Rowing Association presents the competition each year to put a stamp on the racing season.

The races are relatively short at just 850 meters, which sounds like a very very long race to me but I’m sure that seasoned crews will make it look easy. Races start at 7:00am and will be held all the way past 3:30pm.
