In this installment of The562.org’s Classics video series, we look back at one of the craziest Long Beach City College football games we’ve ever covered.

In 2015, the Vikings were ranked No. 4 nationally when they visited Mt. San Antonio College for a midseason, rivalry showdown. In the fourth quarter, Mt. SAC scored 21 unanswered points to retake a lead, only to watch LBCC score 21 answered points of its own to grab a 38-31 victory in double overtime.

Receiver Mike Wilson was the hero for LBCC with 14 receptions for 218 yards and four touchdowns. In overtime, former Lakewood and Cabrillo High receiver Jerin Scroggins caught the game-winning TD and Mayfair alum Christian Woo sealed a wild win with an interception.

This game also had a bevy of last names begging for a pun—we take full advantage.
