Chase DeJong pitched a strong five innings, giving up five hits and no runs to earn a 1-0 decision over the Gahr Gladiators. 

Ty Provencher came on in relief and thew 2 shutout innings to pick up the save. The deciding run came in the fifth inning, after Philip Visico reached first base on an error, stole second and came around to score on an RBI single by Cody Harris. Chris Hubbard went 2-3 with a double.

Wilson had their chances to score more, as they left nine runners on base in the contest; they’ll kick off round two of Moore League next Tuesday, as they face Lakewood at Blair at 3:30pm.
