The St. Anthony Saints shut the door in the last inning against New Roads High in the St. Paul Tournament this weekend and won, 4-0.
Robert Yates pitched a solid 6.2 innings, racking up ten strikeouts, but the Jaguars loaded the bases in the seventh innings. Saint ace Jeff Curran came in and struck out the would-be tying run to record the save and move Yates to 5-0 on the season. Curran also went 2-for-2 with two doubles.
The Saints improve to 10-0 and 3-0 in the Santa Fe league.
