Millikan @ JSerra, 7pm

Just like the girls’ volleyball team two days prior, the Millikan boys’ water polo team has to hit the road for a very tall task.  The Rams dug down deep and found out who they are on Tuesday against Capo Valley, but now they have to see the JSerra Catholic Lions, who are the #2 seed in the bracket and got a bye into the second round.

“Last year we would not have won that game,” said Millikan coach Alex Reyes after the first-round win.  “It’s up to the kids.  They see what playoff water polo is all about.  They decide how far they want to take this thing.”

To take this thing anywhere but back home for the offseason the Rams will need to almost shut down Lion attackers Nick Santala and Macrae Carden.  Santala leads the team with 70 goals, including six in one league match last month, while the the junior Carden is averaging 2.5 goals a game (58 total).
