After the first quarter of Poly’s second-round CIF playoff game against visiting Dana Hills, the Jackrabbits were only up 22-16, leaving Dana Hills within striking distance.  We weren’t personally in the gym, but we’re guessing Poly coach Carl Buggs’ voice was pretty audible at that point.  His team got the message, closing the game 51-10, to go on to win 73-26.

Monique Oliver was, as usual, her team’s leader, with 17 points and 8 boards.  Thaddesia Southall added 12.

Top-seeded Poly (25-2) now moves on to face eight-seeded Corona Santiago on Wednesday evening.  The game will be in Corona, as decided by a coin flip prior to the game.
