We had everything covered on Tuesday, and now with three teams left in the CIF Girls’ Tennis Playoffs, the Moore League has some tough tests ahead in the second round.  CLICK HERE to see the updated bracket after the wild-card matches, and look below for your favorite team and see what they are facing in the second round…

Wilson vs. Hart, Billie Jean King Courts @ 2pm

Hart advanced from the “J” wild-card after handling Righetti. The Bruins have thin ranks right now due to injury, so they will again look to sophomore Jessica Cedillo to set the tone at the number one singles spot.  They also need a great performance from Natasha Smith and Alicia Ly in the doubles.

Poly @ La Reina, 2pm

The ‘Rabbits took advantage of their wild-card home match, defeating Corona Centennial 12-6, but now they have to hit the road for a second-round match with Tri-Valley #1 seed La Reina. Standout Jaynee Guevara swept her singles sets for Poly, and the Jackrabbits will need another great showing from Guevara to have a chance.

Lakewood @ Mark Keppel, 2pm

The Lancers didn’t have to play a wild-card match, but their reward is traveling to Alhambra to see Mark Keppel, the Almont League champion.  Coach Lisa Busch is looking for a huge doubles point from Kelli Prowant and Mackenzi Thorpe.
