Lakewood vs. Thousand Oaks, Lakewood High @ 7pm

The Lancers will host Thousand Oaks, the three-seed from the Marmonte League, in the first round of the CIF Playoffs.  The Oaks (also Lancers) have lost two in a row, but finished the season 9-4 in league.

Lakewood coach Mike Wadley knows one thing about the other Lancers, “I don’t know anything about them.  We have no common opponents… but Jaz (Orozco) played with a few seniors from last year, and now they’re all gone.  So, I guess we know they’re young.”

Oaks has one senior, Katie Deamer, who leads the way on the outside, but other than that they play exclusively sophomores.  Lakewood will try and dominate in the middle and find the groove they were in at the beginning of the year.
