CIFSS DIVISION 2 SOFTBALL PLAYOFFS
Lakewood @ Vista Murrieta, 3:15pm
28251 Clinton Keith Rd. Murrieta, CA 92563

The Lancers are back to being road warriors in the CIF Quarterfinals as they travel to the Inland Empire again to see Vista Murrieta. The Broncos have been regular guests of the CIF Division 2 Championship Game in the last few years under the guidance of head coach Dan Torres. The champions of the Southwestern League yet again with an overall record of 19-10 and 11-3 in league, Vista Murrieta is hitting over .300 as a team and has 28 total home runs.

Senior Tatum Edwards (#2) does it all for the Broncos as she carries a .070 ERA to the circle and a .516 batting average to the plate.  She leads the team with 128 strikeouts and 47 hits.  The Lancers will likely see the other senior pitcher, Jourdan Lamoureux, who leads the team with 107 innings pitched to go along with her 1.18 ERA.

The biggest key for the Lakewood will be their own pitcher, junior Nicole Warren.  In a ban-box park that is Bronco Country, Warren will need to keep Vista Murrieta from sending it over the fence.  If the Lancer defense is as good as it was against Valley View on Tuesday, and Warren is on point, anything could happen.
