“I’m really looking forward to Dew Tour adding the women’s competitions,” said park skateboarder Nora Vasconcellos (USA) in a statement. “It will be great to have it in Long Beach as well; it will be local for most of the skaters and rad for the community.”

Dew Tour’s celebration of skateboard culture will run four days June 28 to July 1 at the Long Beach Convention Center and Rainbow Park Lagoon, and is free and open to the public. The competition will feature newly designed Street and Park courses, as well as a partner village and festival, art and film features, local food and drink vendors and a public skatepark, according to the release.

Dew Tour will also be televised on NBC, as well as live-streamed on Facebook Live and Periscope, among other platforms.

“Since The Enthusiast Network began producing Dew Tour in 2016, we’ve been building to add women’s skateboarding competitions,” Adam Cozens, Dew Tour VP and general manager, said in a statement. “We are extremely happy to showcase the world’s best female skaters this year at Dew Tour with the help of global streaming platforms and NBC TV broadcast.”

In partnership with Dew Tour, the Women’s Skateboarding Alliance (WSA) will serve as the event’s sport organizer, which will feature eight of the world’s best female skateboarders in Street competitions Saturday and Park competitions on Sunday. WSA is a global management and consulting agency dedicated to representing women’s skateboarding.

“With participation and progression in women’s skateboarding at an all-time high, the timing couldn’t be better for integrating women into this year’s Dew Tour program,” stated WSA Founder and President Mimi Knoop. “WSA is thrilled to partner with such an iconic event property, and we look forward to working together to foster the development of these emerging athletes.”

With Dew Tour’s dates coinciding with Agenda, it’s set to be “the ultimate action sports weekend,” organizers announced. For more information on Agenda Festival on Saturday June 30, visit the link here.
