IN PICTURES: Skaters soar through Long Beach with Olympic ambitions at the Dew Tour

Thousands of people attended day four of the 2019 Dew Tour in Long Beach Sunday.

The Dew Tour has come to Long Beach before, but this time, the stakes were higher. This was the first ever U.S.-based Olympic qualifying event for skateboarding, which is a new sport for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

More than 300 of the world’s top skateboarders competed for a spot in the women and men’s street skating and park skating competitions.
