Reports From LBSU

Heavy rains in the Tucson area have forced the cancellation of the final game of a three-game series between Arizona and Long Beach State.

Following the conclusion of Saturday night’s game with Arizona, rain fell overnight and no attempt was made to begin the Sunday game, originally scheduled for 11 a.m. PT.

Long Beach State had won the first two games of the series, winning 8-7 in a comeback on Friday before beating the Wildcats 10-3 on Saturday.

The Dirtbags return home for the next nine games, starting on Tuesday when the host USC at Blair Field. First pitch for that game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
