St. Anthony played some inspired football on Saturday night against one of the only remaining undefeated teams in the state, but that wasn’t enough to score the huge upset on the road against St. Genevieve.  The Valiants pleased a huge home crowd with a 37-23 win over the Saints.

The win runs the Valiants record to 8-0, and drops the Saints to 4-3.

The Saints knew they would see a lot of quarterback Chris Navarro, and that they did.  He racked up 270 offensive yards (125 passing, 145 rushing) and had two throwing and two rushing touchdowns.

St. Anthony will next play Salesian in an important league battle.
