As a free agent in the 1996 NBA draft, Juaquin Hawkins’s contract put him under the play of Kobe Bryant, Nick Vam Exel and Shaquille O’Neal. And in 2002, he eventually signed with the Houston Rockets.
Now, Hawks Hoops Camp—the organization founded by Juanquin—teaches the fundamentals of multiple sports that inspired Hawkins himself to reach for the professional.
Offering classes in basketball, baseball and soccer, as well as promoting healthy life styles through sports, Hawkins hopes to bring a different definition to winter break camps as his troops take over Chaves and Pan American Park.
