Long Beach City College sophomore Ashley Craddock and freshman Chris Graham closed out the 2012 season with top-nine state finishes at the 2012 California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Track & Field Championships at Cerritos College on Saturday.
Craddock represented the LBCC women in sprints in both the 100 and 200 meters. Craddock had the Vikings’ best finish of the meet with a seventh-place showing in the 100. She ran 12.37 to earn Long Beach two team points.
In the 200, Craddock was eighth at 24.85 in her final race for Long Beach to capture one point.
Craddock totaled three points to lift the LBCC women to a 36th-place team finish. Laney College was first with 78 points.
Graham capped his first season for the Vikings with a ninth-place state finish in the 110-meter high hurdles, clearing the finish line at 15.24.
The Long Beach men failed to score a point in the final team standings. Riverside City College won the men’s team title with 122 points.
