All-Walter Pyramid Team: Scott Touzinsky

Men’s Volleyball: 2001-2004

Scott Touzinsky is one of the most accomplished players in any sport to ever play in the Walter Pyramid.  A four-year letterman (2001-2004) on the men’s volleyball team, Touzinsky helped push The Beach to a 28-7 record during his senior season and a runner-up finish at the NCAA Tournament.  He currently ranks first all-time at LBSU in service aces and service ace average, while ranking third in attempts and games played, fourth in kills and fifth in most matches with 10-plus kills.

He was a first-team All-America pick and a first-team all-conference selection in 2004, while also being named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team that season.   His career at Long Beach State was just the start of an unbelievable volleyball career.  He has been a member of the United States National Team since 2003 and won an Olympic Gold Medal in 2008 and a World University Games bronze medal in 2003.  Touzinsky was also inducted into the 49er Wall of Honor in 2009.
