Some cool news yesterday as we found out our old buddy Dedan Brozino has been named the new Director of Corporate Sales/Marketing and Promotions in the athletic department at Long Beach State University.

Brozino will replace Tim Dickson who left after 10 years at Long Beach State. Brozino has worked in the Long Beach State athletic department since February 2007 as an intern, a graduate assistant and a full-time employee, and could frequently be seen hustling around the Pyramid or Blair last year, coordinating the Monson Maniacs and other projects..

For the last 13 months, Brozino has served as the Assistant Director of Marketing and Special Projects at The Beach. He worked primarily with men’s basketball, while also handling a number of other marketing and promotions duties. Before being promoted to the assistant director’s position, Brozino worked as a marketing assistant for seven months at LBSU (Nov. 2007-May 2008) and a marketing intern, marketing graduate assistant and a athletics development intern for nine months (Feb. 2007-Nov. 2007).

Brozino is a 2006 graduate of DeSales University in Center Valley, Penn., where he earned a degree in sport management while also working in the athletic department. He received his master’s from Long Beach State in 2008.
