Six players from the Long Beach State women’s golf team concluded the two-day 36-hole Long Beach Women’s City Championship at El Dorado Park Golf Course on Friday afternoon. 

Junior Noelle Zavaleta was the top player from LBSU as she fired a final round of 73 to finish at 3-over-par 147 to tie for third place. 

Junior Monica Villarreal followed close behind as she shot a 74 to finish one stroke back with a 148 to place fifth. 

Freshman newcomer Rochelle Chan (Carson) recorded a 77 in both rounds for a 154 to tie for 13th. 

Seniors Lindsey McAtee and Reina Rogers shot a 76 and 75 respectively as both players tied for 16th to finish at 9-over 155. 

Sophomore Reece Feducia improved by seven strokes as she recorded a 76 to place 24th to finish at 15-over 159. 

Meng-Chu Chen of Beaumont claimed the championship with a one-over 145.
