Sophomore Lindsey McAtee was among a total of 410 women’s collegiate golfers that were named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Teams for Division I, II and III that was announced by the NCGA. This is the second straight year that McAtee has received the prestigious award.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II and III) of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.

This past season, the Poway native helped the 49ers claim their first Big West Conference Championship in program history and advanced to their second appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The 49ers also won their first regular-season tournament in eight years as LBSU captured the Anteater Invitational by 12-strokes. The 49ers finished the 2008-09 campaign ranked No. 48 by the Golfweek/Sagarin ratings.

McAtee, finished the season with two top-20 finishes as she tied for 20th at UC Irvine’s Anteater Invitational with a 232 and tied for 18th at the Big West Conference Championships with a 241.
