From LBSU reports
The 49ers turned to some different players for success Saturday, but the result was the same as The Beach reeled off a dominant 5-2 win over no. 75 Cal Poly in the Rhodes Tennis Center. The Beach grabbed the doubles point before taking the bottom three singles matches to clinch the win, which improves them to 5-0
The Beach started the day on top, as Anais Dallara and Rachel Manasse topped Malec/Brady 8-5, and Deborah Armstrong and Lisa Sutton clinched the point with an 8-6- win at No. 2 doubles to put Long Beach State ahead by one.
In singles, the 49ers have relied on the top of the lineup in the last few matches, but Lisa Sutton at No. 6 was the first player done on Saturday, beating Steffi Wong 6-0, 6-2, and after Anais Dallara extended her singles winning streak at No. 4, Julie Luzar clinched the match at No. 5 singles with a win over Diane Filip, 6-4, 7-6.
