Long Beach legend Misty May-Treanor was named Sportswoman of the Decade by the Orange County Register yesterday. Honestly, are you surprised?
From Newport Harbor and Long Beach State championships to Olympic and AVP records… as the Register writes, May-Treanor is, “a naturally gifted athlete with amazing defensive skills… considered by many to be the best women’s volleyball player in the history of her sport.”
What more can you say?
