The first half of the Moore League Boys’ Soccer has proven three things. One, the Cabrillo Jaguars can win any game they play this year. Two, the Wilson Bruins back line might be the hardest hitting unit this side of football season. And three, the Millikan Rams are good. Like real good.
Here are the three games you need to see as the Moore League wraps up, and the playoffs get closer…
Millikan @ Cabrillo on Wednesday, January 28th
In the first meeting, the two squads played finesse soccer, and the Jags controlled possession for most of the second half, but the Rams netted the only goal for the 1-0 victory. This time, they’ll play on the wider Cabrillo pitch, which could play to the Jags speed.
Wilson @ Cabrillo on Wednesday, February 4th
In the first meeting, a very physical match ended in a 1-1 draw after two usually reliable goalies each made one mistake. Again, the rematch could tilt the home teams way, but this time it might be because the Jags are getting better every week as they build momentum at home.
Millikan @ Wilson on Wednesday, February 11th
In the first meeting, the Bruins battled with the Rams until the middle of the second half when Millikan took over and scored three times. If everything goes like we think it will, this one might decide the Moore League Champion.
