Casper Ware has been named honorable mention All-America by the Associated Press for the second consecutive season. The senior guard is just the second 49er in Long Beach State history to earn two All-American honors during his career.

Dan Monson has been named one of 24 All-District coaches by The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Monson was named the recipient of the District 9 honor by the NABC for the second straight season.

LBCC Men’s Volleyball, Swimming, & Diving
The No. 1 state-ranked Long Beach City College men’s volleyball team responded to its first loss of the season on Wednesday with a 25-22, 25-21, 25-17 sweep over No. 9 Santa Barbara City College on Friday at LBCC. The Western State Conference win improved the Vikings to 9-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
