In any other American city, a 21-3 team would have droves of fans banging down the doors of the local area.  But not L.A.  Here, we’re nervous about the defense and losses to teams like the Indiana Pacers.  At the same time, flip on the local talk radio and all they can yell about is how the Lakers might win 70 games.

The offensive struggle that was last night’s game against the New York Knicks is just another example of the Lake Show struggling with an inferior team.  So, here’s this week’s question: can the Lakers overcome playing to the level of their competition and rise to a historic season?  Can the Lakers win 70 games?
