Kim Silos scored the game winner in the 94th minute to lead Long Beach State (2-0-0) to a 4-3 victory over host Hawaii (0-1-0) on the first day of the Ohau Shootoout. The 49ers trailed by as many as two goals twice and scored twice over the final 15 minutes to tie it, before winning it, four minutes into the first overtime period.

The Wahine fired off to a 2-0 lead early in the second half, as Chelsea Deputula scored on a free kick at 48:53 to give the Wahine an early lead. The 49ers though came back, as Silos scored the first of her two goals in the 61st minute, taking a pass from Sahar Haghdan to score at 60:52 to cut the deficit in half.

The Wahine would respond though, as Kristen Oshireo scored on a cross to give Hawaii a 3-1 lead at the 71:32 mark.

LBSU tallied a score by Lindsay Bullock at 75:33 to cut the lead to 3-2, converting a free kick header from Silos, before a corner kick and ensuing goal by Hawaii native Mariko Strickland tied the contest at 3-3 with 86:23 on the clock.

Silos then was the benefactor of a ball that was rattled around the box, as the senior fired away from the right side and gave the 49ers the first and only lead of the contest. Silos finished with two goals and an assist in the contest to keep the 49ers undefeated on the season.

The 49ers continue the tournament on August 29 when they play Sun Belt favorite, Denver.
