–Long Beach State captured the seventh team national championship in school history, and also became the first team to defeat Pepperdine in sand volleyball history, as the 49ers avenged last year’s title game loss.

–The 49ers swept UC Davis to wrap up conference play and clinched at least second-place in the Big West. Darian Tautalafua hit four RBI in game two, including two home runs, to break the single season RBI record at LBSU.

Men’s Golf at Big West Conference Championship
–The 49ers concluded their season in fi fth-place (10 teams) at 30-over par (894). Senior Philip Chian led the way for LBSU tying for eighth at 5-over 221.

Decathlon – Garrett Demirjian, 2nd (7,296 points)
Heptathlon – Taylor Jackson, 3rd (4,693 points); Wendy Izquierdo, 11th (4,249 points)
–Juniors Garrett Demirjian and Taylor Jackson garnered all-conference honors for their top-three fi nishes in the decathlon and heptathlon at the Big West Championships.
