The #30 team in the section and #9 in the State bracket, the Cavaliers of Central Valley Christian advanced to the second round of State after a 69-38 victory over North County Christian.

They are lead by junior guard Kacie Van Hofwegen, who is averaging a team high 13 points and four steals per game.  Center Amy Weststeyn leads the team with 11 rebounds per game to go with 10ppg.  It will be up the 6’2″ junior to contain the Kendall and Jourdan Cooper and the rest of the Saints in the paint.

Senior Rina Towne, one of the girls head coach James Anderson has worked with his entire tenure at St. Anthony, will be another key for the Saints.  It was her defensive play and strength in the lane that turned the CIF Championship game around.
