The nation’s top-ranked team – according to MaxPreps.com – took care of their first round opponent in the State Tournament on Tuesday night, defeating Clovis West (28-8) of Fresno in straight sets, 25-18, 25-10, 25-17.

Long Beach Poly (37-2) moves on to the second round, where the Jackrabbits will host Marymount (22-6) of Los Angeles. The Sailors defeated Centennial (34-8) of Bakersfield last night to advance. Poly and Centennial will face off at Long Beach Poly this Saturday night.
