Last weekend was almost empty on the schedule, so this weekend is making up for it.  Click on the calendar on the right column for more information, but here are some events you should get out to …

Thursday 26th

Moore League Baseball: Jordan vs. Poly (3:30pm) Wilson vs. Millikan (6:30pm) @ Blair Field
After a tough loss to Millikan on Tuesday, Poly needs to get on the right track quickly against Jordan.  The Panthers got the bye on Opening Day, so they’ll be well rested and  have their number one starter on the mound.  In the night cap Millikan will try to make it 2-0 in the Moore League, while Wilson will try to rebound and avoid the 0-2 start.

Moore League Softball: Lakewood vs. Cabrillo (3:15) @ Lakewood High
With a win over Wilson on Tuesday, Lakewood is looking like the lead car in the Moore League race.  But if there is a wild card in that race, it’s the Jaguars.

Friday 27th

Dirtbag Baseball vs. UNLV @ Blair Field, 6pm
Returning home after more losses on the road, Long Beach State needs a weekend series win, and they need it bad.  Hopefully they can take advantage of a Runnin’ Rebels team that is leaving their friendly confines in Las Vegas for the first time in a long time.

Saturday 28th

Long Beach State Softball vs. UC Davis (Doubleheader Starts At 1pm) @ 49er Softball Complex
It was a tough weekend in Arizona against the Sun Devils, but Long Beach State gets to come home for the first game at the Complex, and the Big West opener.  The 49ers will host the Aggies, how have been hovering around .500 all year.

Sunday 29th

Congressional Cup Race Hosted By Long Beach Yacht Club
