Long Beach State got out to a quick start against CSSB and never looked back. The 49ers scored three goals in the first period while holding San Bernardino to one, and then took a 7-4 lead into the second half.
The 49ers extended their lead with three unanswered goals in the third period, and Long Beach State closed out the match with two goals in the fourth.
Kelly Ringel finished with three saves, subbing for Kristen Stragier in goal during the second half of the contest.
Long Beach State hosts one more non-conference game as Hartwick comes to the Campus Pool on April 2. Big West play begins for the 49ers starting on April 9.
