11:30am | Michael Curry is a bit of a mad genius. Even though you may have never heard his name before, his work has been seen around the world, in some of the most innovative and popular theatrical productions ever created. He’s contributed to Cirque du Soleil’s productions of KA, and LOVE, along with Steve Wynn’s Le Reve, and Chris Angel: Believe. He’s also worked on two Olympic Opening Ceremony productions, and stage productions of popular animated features, such as The Lion King, Finding Nemo, Shrek The Musical, and The Little Mermaid.
For 30 years, Moses Templeton’s MOMIX dance company has been presenting works that are both astonishing and beautiful. Their most recent production, BOTANICA, is a multi-media event using projections, elaborate costumes, and puppetry created by Michael Curry.
This weekend, MOMIX is performing BOTANICA at the Richard & Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center, located on the Campus of CSULB. Tickets are still available for the two shows, on Saturday at 8 PM and on Sunday at 2 PM.
