This 116-year-old Long Beach tradition has ties to Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, The Temptations and countless other music giants.

The Long Beach Municipal Band is back for another summer of free concerts starting late this month. Check out their full schedule here.

It’s a local institution stacked with talent. Band members have scored movies and Broadway shows like “Dream Girls,” “Herbie Fully Loaded” and “Burlesque.”

They have also had a hand in “Wicked” and the musical version of “The Lion King.”
