It’s that time of year again, when 2nd Street is closed to traffic, but not cars, as thousands of car enthusiasts descend on Belmont Shore for one of Long Beach’s most popular events, its annual car show.
Over 500 vehicles, from some of the first automobiles ever made to convertibles, muscle cars, hot rods and lowriders, will be on display during the 28th Annual Belmont Shore Car Show on Sunday, from 9:00AM to 3:00PM.
The Belmont Shore Business Association, along with The Bay City Rodders Seal Beach Car Club, are putting on the event and expect over 40,000 people to attend. Located on 2nd Street between Livingston Drive and Bayshore Avenue, expect 2nd Street’s slew of restaurants and retail shops to be open, including vendors within the festival.
Those with gorgeous automobiles just waiting to be shown to the masses can still register their vehicle here. The cost to enter is $30 for pre-registration (by Tuesday), $35 at the show and $80 to be a “VIP Power Parker.”
The aforementioned streets will be closed to traffic from 5:00AM to 5:00PM or until 2nd Street is cleared to open. Bayshore Avenue will remain open to traffic. Visitors are encouraged to park in the Ocean Avenue beach lots or in Marine Stadium off Appian Way.
