The “Coachella” of the dance world will take over Long Beach starting Monday for the six-day dance festival DancerPalooza. Held at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center, the experience will feature dance workshop classes, a three-day dance expo and live performances.

Dancers have the opportunity to participate in one of eight style-specific dance intensive workshops that culminates into a live performance or film after five days of intense training. The workshops are available for children and adults, depending on the specific intensive. Dancers can also sign up for Crash Course lessons taught by the industry’s most prolific names such as Oscar Award winning “La La Land” choreographer Mandy Moore and former “So You Think You Can Dance” judge Mia Michaels.

From Friday, August 4th to Sunday, August 6th, the festival will host Beat Street, a dance exposition experience complete with vendors, famous dance performances and a freestyle stage that will give attendees the opportunity to show off their moves. In the evenings, the festival will host nightly professional dance shows, highlighting elite dance companies’ finest performers.
