Several organizations are offering internships in the arts or scholarships to students this summer.

The Minerva Scholarship Program

The Women in California Leadership Foundation is currently taking applications for The Minerva Scholarship Program, a scholarship aimed at empowering women and enhancing the lives of women and girls. The scholarships range from up to 80 one-time $2,500 scholarships and one $10,000 scholarship to select women of promise in order to help them achieve their educational objectives. Propeller Club scholarships

The Propeller Club of Los Angeles-Long Beach is offering scholarships ranging from $250 to $1,000 to graduating high school seniors. This scholarship is open to high school seniors currently attending schools in the cities of Long Beach, Lakewood, San Pedro, Wilmington or Carson and to students of all majors. The Arts Internship Program

Through the Arts Internship Program, college students can apply for a paid on-the-job experience in performing, presenting, film, media, literary and municipal arts at more than 100 arts locations across Los Angeles County, which provide internships to museums and visual arts organizations. United Cambodian Community arts internship

The United Cambodian Community (UCC) is looking for a creative college student who wants to expand their creative art skills. As an arts project specialist intern, one student will produce art projects ranging from drawing, designing and creating publications, and making announcements and presentations for the UCC arts community. Applicants must be currently enrolled in college and live within Los Angeles County, which includes the city of Long Beach. The job description was posted on July 6, but there is no set deadline.
