16 student-created public art proposals will be on display at the Long Beach Museum of Art starting this Friday, June 6th.  The public is invited to the opening reception this Friday from 5 – 6:30 PM, where many third grade student participants will be in attendance to discuss their work.

The exhibition is the culmination of Eye on Design, an intensive 19 week program which focused on neighborhood history, public art, and design.  Four professional artists were employed by Arts Council for Long Beach to work with 120 students at Burbank Elementary School.

The student work will be on display at the museum through September 7th.  More information is available at the Arts Council for Long Beach website.
