Did you make it out to First Fridays in Bixby Knolls on Friday, March 5th? LB Food Review had a great time cruising up and down Atlantic on the Big Red Bus, staying out late, and enjoying the beautiful Long Beach spring weather.
In order to support future First Fridays (say that five times fast), the organizers are throwing a 80’s Party on Friday night, March 26th, at the Long Beach Petroleum Club at 3636 Linden Ave. from 8PM-Midnight. I know that many of you readers were born in the 80’s (I myself am part of that demographic), so here’s a chance to turn back the clock and party it up in awkwardly bright colors and interesting fashion choices while dancing to some of the 1980s’ finest thumping beats, brought to you by DJ Neon Hunter.
A $5 donation at the door goes to supporting First Fridays and keeping it free to party in Bixby Knolls on the first Friday of each month. A contest to determine the best 80’s attire will be held, with a prize of dinner for two at the Petroleum Club given to the winner.
Dinner reservations at the Petroleum Club are available before the party from 6PM-8PM, but call ahead at 562-427-7966 because seating is limited and they are expecting it to fill up.
