Don’t eat very much Saturday and Sunday—you’ll need to make some room in your stomach for a heavy helping of ice cream and carbs on Labor Day.
After first announcing its intention to head to Long Beach last March, Afters Ice Cream is set to open its new Long Beach location on Monday, it announced via its Facebook page this week, with a grand opening featuring “cars and carbs” aplenty. Head to 5708 
East Seventh Street from 7:00PM to midnight to sample their famous Milky Bun.
Ah yes, the Milky Bun. Consisting of a fresh halved donut, either glazed or unglazed, and stuffed with such signature flavors as almond cookie and banana heath toffee cream and cereal, Afters Ice Cream unapologetically offers calorie upon calorie for eager customers in need of a sugar rush.
Live it. Love it. Adore it.
In fact, the Fountain Valley and Chino Hills’ venue’s Milky Bun is so beloved, Afters Ice Cream made it on Yelp’s list of the 10 most reviewed restaurants in the country last year, the Post previously reported. Their Orange and San Bernardino County locations count more than 1,000 customers daily and often have lines out the door.
Prices range from $3.50 for a single scoop of ice cream to $5 for a Milky Bun.
