Fuego at Hotel Maya will offer foodies and aspiring mixologists the chance to learn how to make drinks from shots to sangria and Latin-inspired culinary dishes beginning on February 14.

“Each year we present our guests with opportunities to learn more about Mayan culture through food, entertainment and the arts,” said Kristi Allen, General Manager at Hotel Maya – a Doubletree by Hilton, in a statement. “Fuego’s classes offer authentic Latin-inspired culinary and mixology experiences in an extraordinary venue.”

On Valentine’s Day, a “Chocolate for Couples” culinary class will be led by Mayan Executive Chef Victor Juarez. The class, which costs $25, will focus on preparing chocolate for a three-course lunch that includes arugula and prosciutto; chocolate infused with strawberries; and chocolate candied walnuts and balsamic chocolate dressing. Dessert is banana and chocolate crêpes with vanilla custard, vehrona chocolate, raspberry couli and vanilla gelato. The class is limited to 20 guests and will take place from 11:00AM to 1:00PM.
