If one were to pick the largest hole in Long Beach’s culinary scene, many would say ramen is the largest. However, there is a strong case, coming from the vocal protests of breakfast lovers with an adoration of the East Coast, that the bagel remains the city’s most obvious lack.
While not on the level of Bagel Shack in San Juan Capistrano or the Bagel Factory in Torrance, the announcement of Einstein Bros. Bagels opening a second location on Los Coyotes is certainly a step in the right direction.
“We are pleased to expand our presence in the Long Beach area with our new store on Los Coyotes Diagonal,” said Glenn Lunde, “Chief Concept Officer” for Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, in a statement. “We invite area residents to stop by our newest location and celebrate our grand opening with us.”
The new Long Beach location will open on October 27 at 4508 Los Coyotes Diagonal. For the early rush on opening day, the first 300 customers will score a free cup of coffee and a special deal (whose deets have yet to be unveiled).
Einstein Bros. Bagels will be open Monday through Friday from 5AM to 5PM and Saturday and Sunday from 6AM to 4PM.
Editor’s Note: this article originally stated this was the first Einstein location to open in Long Beach; however, the former Noah’s Bagel was converted to an Einstein shop earlier this year.
