IN PICTURES: Big Bang on the Bay wows hundreds

Long Beach’s Big Bang on the Bay Fireworks Festival and Block Party returned to Alamitos Bay on Wednesday.

The evening included vintage aircraft flyovers, skydivers, a sailing regatta, dancing and a bbq dinner, and was a benefit to several local charities including Children Today, the Miller Foundation and the Captain Rosa Memorial Scholarship.

The night ended with, of course, a fireworks show over Alamitos Bay.
