The first ever So Cal Corgi Beach Day to be held in Long Beach last weekend was a corg-tastic success, to say the least. So Cal Corgi Nation reported that although an exact number could not be calculated, over 800 corgis and their humans had a rockin’ good time at Rosie’s Dog Beach.

The corgis limboed, showed off their best-dressed corg-kini clad selves, and generally seemed to really enjoy each others’ company.

Human corgi-lovers and their plane-riding pets came from across the nation, all the way from Maryland, South Carolina, Utah and more. The event exceeded turn-out expectations so completely, that even the quintessential corgi group photo failed to cram everybody in.

500 lbs of Beyond Natural Pet Food were kindly donated to So Cal Corgi Beach Day’s nonprofit partner, Queen’s Best Stumpy Dog Rescue, thanks to those who spread the word through social media tags #corgibeachday and @BeyondPetFood.

The next So Cal Corgi Beach Day will be held on October 24 at Huntington Dog Beach, just a skip and a leap down the coast, while the next corgi day to take place in Long Beach will likely be next summer.

Here are some awesome photos provided to the Post thanks to Beyond Pet Food, taken by Kristen Langefeld.
