Why are there so many utensils at the table? Which fork should I use and when? What’s the proper way to cut my food? Should I place my napkin on my lap or tucked under my chin?
These are some of the rules of etiquette that former Miss California and Long Beach’s version of “Miss Manners,” Rebekah Keller-Negrete, reviewed with 12 high school students who are participating in Camp Justin, an annual program that exposes underprivileged youth to activities not normally available to them. The etiquette lessons were provided at Downtown’s L’Opera.
Following the short lesson, all were be joined for lunch by Long Beach’s newest councilmembers, Lena Gonzalez, Suzie Price, and Stacy Mungo.
