This Saturday, the Walter Pyramid will host the 18th annual Jewels of the Night festivities, set to benefit Long Beach State’s athletic department. As of recently, the event has seen an overhaul and facelift, becoming a place where people have fun more than feel obligated to shake hands. It not only appeals to a younger audience, it boasts a feel where mingling seems to be key: live band, piano bar, and some of the best restaurants of Long Beach hosting food stations.

Hosted by the 49er Athletic Club, the fundraising division within Long Beach State’s athletic department, this is the marquee event for generating revenue to support the more than 300 Long Beach State student-athletes in their quest to realize both their academic and athletic ambitions.

In their relentless pursuit to assemble “Championships Through Scholarships,” they need and are asking for help from the community of Long Beach. It does not matter what type of donation you or your business can provide, but for them to achieve their goal, they need your support. You can be sure that your gift will move them one-step closer to achieving championships while maintaining a superior level of scholarship.
