Belmont Shore
Belmont Shore, your strolling place for the Treasure Hunt.

Hard to believe, but it’s already Day 9 of the Long Beach Post Treasure Hunt.

Since school is starting, let’s do some homework: Google “RLS,” the clue that you jotted down in your notebook a couple of days ago. Did you get “Restless Leg Syndrome?” I already know some of you have. Good. Perfect. Walk it off by taking a long stroll down Belmont Shore’s Second Street. Start at the west end of Livingston Drive and go east until you get to Alamitos Bay on Bay Shore Avenue, where we’re betting it’s a nice day for a dip. So, get in the water, splash around, then take a freshwater shower.

Not only has your little RLS problem disappeared, but, man, you’re really close to the treasure now! If you weren’t just sopping wet in your swimsuit, you could stroll inside a nearby building and sniff around for the treasure. Or you could just towel off and go home. Depends on how seriously you’re taking this hunt.

Also, um, there’s a small scheduling problem involved with the hunt’s finale. We blame our lawyers and the maddening vagaries of national holidays. The hunt will conclude not so much on Saturday, a day set aside for you to relax and not worry about things, but on Friday. Please plan accordingly. And we beg your pardon for the inconvenience.

If you want to play a little hunt catch-up, here are all the clues so far.
