artsinternships2013

Ten Long Beach arts organizations have received grants to offer paid, art-focused summer internships to college students through two programs funded by the L.A. County Arts Commission and the Getty Foundation.

With jobs ranging from curatorial to marketing and development, these full-time internships offer undergrads interested in the arts a hands-on experience with the cultural institutions that help shape Long Beach’s growing art scene. Organizations apply for the grants each year and once awarded, are responsible for hiring and maintaining their own interns. Below is a description of the two programs’ Long Beach grantees and information about how to apply for each of the internships.
