Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DLBA) will host its next Live After 5 event with art, live music and other entertainment at the East Village Arts District and The Loop on Thursday, May 17, the DLBA announced this week.
Live After 5 draws attention to local businesses in downtown Long Beach and gives residents, workers and visitors alike an opportunity to discover the area through live entertainment. The event takes place every third Thursday from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at different downtown neighborhoods.
Live After 5 to Debut The Loop as Unique Event Space in Downtown Long Beach
At The Loop, attendees can expect live music, food and a beer garden. The Big Red Bus open-air trolley will be available free for attendees to explore the highlighted downtown neighborhood for the month. There will be a total of six stops throughout the night for attendees to discover over 20 businesses that will include specials and discounts, enjoy live music and performances, drink specials, art shows and more.

Stop 3: Broadway and Atlantic
Stop 4: 4th Street and Olive
Stop 5: 4th Street and Linden
Stop 6: 3rd Street and Elm
The upcoming Live After 5 will also feature the official Summer and Music (SAM) Kick Off party from 6:45PM to 8:30PM at Fingerprints Music to announce the 2018 music festival series lineup. The kick off will feature live music by past Buskerfest champions including Bearcoon, Rudy de Anda and Korey Dane. Fingerprints Music is located at 420 East 4th Street.
