With the Long Beach Folk Revival Festival just around the corner—as in tomorrow—it should be noted that the organizers are encouraging folk lovers to love their environment just as much by pledging to bring reusable water bottles (and enjoy the free water refilling station), ride their bike (and enjoy the free bike valet courtesy of Bike Local), and compost and recycle while attending the music festival.

Even more, for those coming to Long Beach by way of the Blue Line, you’ll get $3 off of your admission by simply showing off your TAP card at the box office.

So, here’s the plan, Long Beach: get dolled up (or rock your slacker style, totally up to you), grab your water tin, hop on your bike or Metro, and enjoy 11 hours of the blissful mixture of banjos, mandolins, and autoharps with emotionally charged lyrics. (For the full lineup, click here.) Or, if you’re too manly for all that brouhaha, watch some dudes compete. With their beards. For their beards.

Either way, we see nothing but a win-win here.
