Long Beach is no stranger to beer and wine tasting festivals, and now joining the ranks in the city’s drinking landscape is Seltzerland, a new hard seltzer tasting festival taking over the grass at the Bixby Village Golf Course Saturday, Feb. 5.

Attendees can sample over 100 flavors of hard seltzers from market-dominating brands like White Claw and Truly to newer varieties like Cool Cat and Playamar by Jose Cuervo.

Set on the grass that will be free of golfers, guests will be taken on a two-and-a-half-hour tour, staggered and spaced out along a two-mile trek to comply with social distancing. Expect to stay about 10 minutes at each booth while you sip two-ounce pours, hear about the brands, play games, grab some free merch and pose for photo ops along the way.

The festival will have food trucks on-site and other snacks available for additional purchase. Complimentary water will be handed out upon entry.

Seltzerland is the first hard seltzer festival sweeping across the country, created by Cannonball Productions founder and CEO Kate Levenstien who sought to emulate the tasting experience beer and wine festivals have enjoyed for decades, allowing seltzer fanatics a stomping ground to check out new market trends and enjoy their fizzy fix with fellow enthusiasts.

After a successful debut in Chicago 2020, the festival is now rolling through the country on a 20 city tour having already taken over golf courses in Scottsdale, Tampa, Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Boston, Seattle, Las Vegas and Miami to sold-out crowds, according to a release.

Tickets for Selterland are offered in two tiers. General Admission is $35 and includes the full tasting experience. A VIP ticket costs $55 and includes the full tasting experience plus a free commemorative tasting glass, a complimentary can of hard seltzer, a specialty cocktail and a free snack.
